Highly-rated captain of relegated Real Tamale United (RTU) Baba Kushibo has signed for champions FC Samartex on a two-year deal.
Announcing the deal on Friday, July 19, the Timber Giants said the University of Education, Winneba graduate joins them with a wealth of experience and expertise.

He joins on a free transfer.
“I am very excited to join Timber Giants [and] hope to see you all at the Nsekyire Sports Stadium this season,” Kushibo said in a video posted on the X page of the champions.
Kushibo will join his former RTU teammate Alhassan Mankunyeli, who was signed for the Western Region side earlier this month.
FC Sax are in camp for the 2024/25 season, which begins for them in the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
They have been drawn to play Cameroon’s Victoria United in August for a place in the next round of the preliminaries.
