Dr Hanna Louisa Bisiw-Kotei, the National Women’s Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said the 2024 elections is about women, considering their percentage in the total population of the country.

She has urged women in the country to come out in their numbers to vote to resolve the teeming challenges women are going through in the country.

Dr. Bisiw-Kotei says the fact that the flag bearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama, has chosen a female as his running mate is even enough for the women in the country to cast their votes for the NDC to ensure women are duly represented at the high table.

According to her, voting the NDC to power means giving the Ghanaian women the freedom she needs.

“Women we are more than the men so when we say we are suffering, because we are suffering. Anytime women are empowered, there is peace in our homes. 2024 election is not a normal election. It is an election for the freedom of the Ghanaian woman.

“His excellency John Dramani Mahama, has given us a woman as a [running mate] so this is an election where the women we have to move forward, fight, work and vote,” she stated.

The party’s Women’s Organiser added that the flag bearer’s decision to establish the Women’s Bank for every woman in the country is enough for the female gender to prioritise the NDC because “this is the election that is bringing dignity back to the Ghanaian woman.”
