Isaac Adongo, Ranking Member of Parliament’s Finance Committee, has asked the youth of Ghana, especially the unemployed, to have hope in the next NDC administration to be headed by John Dramani Mahama.
He has assured them that John Dramani Mahama is going to fix the economic challenges of the country if elected back to power.
According to him, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has the best history in terms of fixing economic challenges, noting that an NDC administration will not have the presidency selling off mobile phones to the youth to solve their problems.
He says the challenges being faced by Ghanaians goes beyond selling mobile phones to people to be paying in installments of one cedi and two cedis.
His comments come on the back of a promise from the Vice President and flag bearer of the ruling NPP, Dr. Bawumia, promising to create a credit scoring system where people can leverage to purchase mobile phones on credit and pay a cedi or two at the end of each month.
Speaking at the launch of the NDC’s 2024 campaign in Tamale, the Northern regional capital, on the theme; Change to reset Ghana, Mr. Adongo noted that “I can assure you that with John Dramani Mahama at the hem, I can assure you that with you are not going to see the Presidency at the Tiptoe lane selling mobile phones for GHC1.00 or GHC2.00.”
“We will find a solution to fixing the problems of our country and create opportunities for our youth. Let me tell you that the only political party that has the history, of fixing challenging economies in our country is the NDC,” he assured.
