Former President John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday promised the people of Kintampo South Constituency that his next administration will make sure the road network in the area are motorable.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, who was speaking at Amoama in the Bono East Region, said the current government awarded a contract for the Amoama road in 2020, prior to the elections, but immediately after the election the contractor left site.

According to him, this government will not be able to complete the project before the December 7 polls.

He, therefore, assured the people that he will complete the project when he wins the election.

He added that when the NDC win the upcoming election, they will not ask the contractor to leave site as the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has done but will rather support them to complete the project for the benefit of the people.

Mr Mahama is in the Bono East Region as part of his campaign tour.

He was speaking on the second day of the campaign tour.

The former President is expected to spend four days in the Bono East Region before he moves to the Bono Region.
