Information reaching OnuaOnline indicate that some armed robbers who entered a forex bureau at Lapaz, a suburb of Accra, to rob the place have escaped through the backdoor of the office.
Reports indicate that although the premises was surrounded by the police, the armed men were able to find their way out at the backdoor of the forex trading office.
In a video shared on X by user @withAlvin Friday, November 22, 2024, with a voice over under it, it is heard at the background that the police arrived on time at the instance the robbers got to the scene.
The voice explained that the officers locked up the place with the robbers inside, and called for reinforcement.
However, they managed to escape through the alternative exit at the place without the officers making any arrest.
It is still not known whether the gang were able to bolt with some cash or not, as the police are yet to issue an official statement on the development.

Although police responded early, it’s been reported that no arrest has been made and the suspected robbers escaped through the back door of the forex bureau.
