Black Satellites star Jerry Afriyie, who recently marked his debut for the Black Stars with a goal against Niger, has been called up into the Black Galaxies team.
Head Coach Mas-Ud Didi Draman announced a 32-man squad for the upcoming qualifiers for the 2024 Championship of African Nations (CHAN).
The Black Galaxies will face off with their Nigerian counterparts for a place in the tournament to be held in Kenya, Uganda & Tanzania early next year.
Ghana and Nigeria will seek to pick one of the three tickets from WAFU Zone B.
The first leg will be played in Accra on Sunday, December 22 with the second set to take place a week later.

Jerry Afriyie is one of the few young stars called up into the squad.
He was recently called up by Black Stars coach Otto Addo in the final 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Niger.
Among the players called up for the doubleheader are FC Samartex’s Isaac Afful, Nations FC’s Razak Simpson, Asante Kotoko’s Emmanuel Antwi and Medeama SC’s Kamaradin Mamudu, who were part of Otto Addo’s recent team.
