Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko continue to ring the changes in their management set-up, the latest being the appointment of club legend Malik Jabir as Technical Director.
Jabir, who won the African Champion of Champions trophy twice with the Porcupine Warriors, will replace James Kwesi Appiah.
“Coach James Kwasi Appiah who recently held the position will remain as a member of the club’s management team,” the club said in their statement on Wednesday, November 27.
The appointment comes 24 hours after life patron Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II directed the withdrawal of Head Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum from the Interim Management Committee (IMC).
Coach Narteh Ogum was relieved of his role as IMC member in order to get him to focus on his coaching job.
Kotoko have struggled recently, going four matches without a win.
They, however, ended this ignominious run with a 2-0 win over Aduana Stars FC in Week 12 of the Ghana Premier League.
They currently lie seventh on the log with 18 points.
