The Krontihene of Akyem Asuom in the Eastern region, Nana Boadi Amponim Abodade III, has expressed worry over the state in which President Akufo-Addo has left the country in.
He says the President, despite all the resources available at his disposal, could not give Ghanaians much, but tend to disrespect the very people that gave him power.
Speaking to some journalists after the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) humiliating defeat in the December 07 elections, the Asuom Krontihene said the country was “bleeding”, following the kind of governance the citizens have been subjected to by the Akufo-Addo-led administration.
He described as a “good Samaritan”, the coming of John Mahama, to rescue Ghana from the things the “robbers have stolen” from the country.
Nana Abodade III prayed that Mahama recoups everything the Akufo-Addo administration has stolen from the state.

“We thank God that the good Lord is about to give the mantle to President Mahama. As it is in Luke 10:29, Ghana has been stripped naked. Mother Ghana is bleeding.
“The robbers have stolen all the goodies so a good Samaritan has come to rescue her and put her in a good healthy and happy situation and also recover the loot the robbers took. It was quite clear but people just didn’t realise it,” he stated.
The chief further prayed that Ghana never gets a President like Akufo-Addo again, considering the arrogance and disrespect meted out to the citizenry, especially the traditional authority.
