The past students’ association of Achimota School, Old Achimotan Association (OAA), has announced the passing of two of its members Saturday, March 08, 2025.

The Association says the two old students are members of the 2024 year group who were knocked down by a speeding vehicle on the Achimota Highway.

According to a statement issued by the OAA 2024 year group Saturday, March 08, the two young ladies, Davida Asante Boateng and Lilian Akorli, were returning to the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), after attending the alma mater’s Annual Bonfire Celebration.

Whilst crossing the Achimota Highway, they were struck down by a black Toyota Corolla whose driver sped off after knocking them down.

One of the victims, according to the release, gave up her life 4 hours after being rushed to the hospital, whilst the other followed suit later on Saturday morning.

The Association has extended its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and and assured its continuous support in honouring the memories of the young ladies.
