Ghanaian actor cum politician, John Setor Dumelo, has walked bare footed and backwards from the University of Ghana campus at Legon to the Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School, (PRESEC Legon) in Accra after losing a bet.
This was after betting that he was going to walk barefooted and backwards to the school’s campus should his alma mater, Achimota School, lose the 2023 National Science and Maths Quiz grand finale to Presec.
Mr. Dumelo was so confident his schoool was going to win the contest after qualifying from the semi-final stage of the competition to meet PRESEC and Opoku Ware School (OWASS).
This made him throw a challenge that should PRESEC, which is the most successful school in the competition having won seven trophies at the time, win this year’s edition, he was going to walk barefooted and backwards to their campus.
But the Monday, October 30,2023 grand finale saw PRESEC humiliating their competitors after giving Achimota School the hope that they could come top at the end of the fourth round.
As honest as he is, John Dumelo fulfilled his promise by walking barefooted and backwards to PRESEC.
