Fetish priest turned evangelist, Nana Agradaa, has asked those criticising Sammy Gyamfi, the Acting Managing Director of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), to stop, in order not to invite curses upon themselves.
She says the Bible requires that one shares in the fortune of another by being excited, which is why she expects Ghanaians to share in her excitement after receiving a gift from Sammy Gyamfi.
The former fetish priestess says the amount involved is nothing outrageous for the public to be raising concerns about, admonishing followers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) –Sammy Gyamfi’s political party –not to worry over the gesture.
“[If Sammy Gyamfi] gifts me US$800.00, you’re saying it belongs to Ghana. How much is 800 dollars? Don’t be doing this. If you’re an NDC, don’t be worried over this. The Bible says you should always be happy for one another’s gains. Always tap into somebody’s blessings,” Agradaa stated in a video shared on X by a user called DePrince.
She continued that those who are criticizing Sammy Gyamfi, instead of being happy for her, Agradaa, are inviting curses upon themselves. Agradaa believes it’s better for such people to pray for similar favours instead of condemning them, which would bring curses upon themselves.
“If even Mama Pat has been gifted money by Sammy Gyamfi, then God, let me also meet him to gift me money. But if you speak against it and you accept gift from a high-profile person, it is a curse,” she added.

The development has sparked public outrage, especially after President Mahama had launched a Code of Conduct for Public Officials a few days earlier, detailing how they should conduct themselves to avoid creating public disaffection.
Critics have pointed to the video as potentially undermining the Code of Conduct for Public Officials, which emphasizes integrity, accountability, and transparency in public service.
In the said video making rounds on social media, Agradaa had taken a photograph with Sammy Gyamfi beside his car, after which she followed him to the front passenger seat to collect the money.
Many party faithful have been outraged after the incident, not over the gesture per se, but the person involved, who is a controversial religious figure claiming to be an evangelist after being previously arrested for defrauding many as a fetish priestess.
Meanwhile, OnuaOnline’s sources at the Jubilee House have confirmed that the Chief of Staff has asked the GoldBod Acting MD to come and explain the circumstances surrounding the controversial gift that has sparked criticism and raised concerns over the conduct of public officials.
