The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Sunyani, Vincent Antwi Agyei, on Friday, July 11, 2025, paid a visit to Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II to discuss pressing issues affecting the Sunyani township and explore strategies for its development.
During their interaction, Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II raised critical concerns that were gradually taking Sunyani backwards. The Sunyani Manhene touched on issues such as;
Sanitation Crisis at the Main Lorry Station, which he highlighted on how the station is gradually turning into an unauthorized refuse dump, posing health and environmental risks.
This he also added was denting efforts of beautifying and making the town clean as has been noted for.
Unacceptable practices at Nana Bosoma Market
Odeefour Korkor II alerted the MCE about improper and unconventional activities taking place at the market. He charged him to critically take a look at the market and ensure that sanity prevails there.
In response, Vincent Antwi Agyei assured Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II that he would work towards resolving the raised concerns within one month and provide feedback to the Traditional Council.
Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor further pledged his support to the MCE towards making Sunyani clean, safe and better as capital of the Bono region.
The Hon. MCE was accompanied by Isaac Brown Ankomah; Municipal Co-ordinating Director, Peter Nketiah; Municipal Budget Officer, Samuel Adabagzo; Municipal Planning Officer and other key figures from the Sunyani Municipal Assembly.
