The Ministry of Transport has launched the maiden edition of the Ghana Transport and Logistics Fair (GTLF) in Ho, the Volta regional capital.
The fair launched under the theme, “Resetting Ghana’s Transport Sector for Improved Connectivity, Innovation and Investment,” is aimed at repositioning the country’s transport sector as an avenue for growth, technology, innovation and partnerships.
The Minister of Transport, Joseph Bukari Nikpe, during the launch said the initiative aligns with the Mahama government’s vision to make Ghana’s transport sector the hub for aviation, maritime and seamless road services.
“We had a directive from the presidency to ensure that we position the Ministry of Transport to become the hub for aviation, the hub for maritime and the hub for road transport services.”
“It is my hope, my believe and expectation that all the private sector, all the investors, business minded people will join us to make the Ministry of Transport and Logistics fair a success.”
The fair is scheduled for October 22 to 24, 2025 at the World Trade Fair Centre in Accra and will bring together key sector players from government, private industry and the international community to explore policy reforms, to deliberate on issues that can drive investment and innovation in the country’s transport sector.
