Ghana Women’s Premier League champions Police Ladies FC missed out on a medal at the WAFU B Women’s Champions League qualifiers after losing to Burkina Faso’s USFA in the 3rd place play-off on Friday.

The match ended goalless after full regulation time but the Burkinabes converted all their penalty kicks to beat their Ghanaian counterparts 5-4.

Both teams had missed on qualification to the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League after losing their semi-final encounters.

POLAS, who played in Group B, lost 4-1 to hosts ASEC Mimosas while USFA lost 2-1 to Bayelsa Queens.

The two sides, therefore, targeted the Bronze medal as consolation.

With no goals to separate them at the Lycee Scientific Stadium in Yamoussoukro, the match went straight to penalties, which the Burkinabe army team won.

The final game, which will be the decider for the CAF Women’s Champions League, is between ASEC and Bayelsa Queens.
