The head of the Kristo Asafo Mission, Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo, popularly known as Kantanka, has died.
His death was reported in a statement signed by his daughter, Sarah Adwoa Safo, a former Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya.
The celebrated Apostle and industrialist reportedly died on Thursday, September 11, 2025, according to the statement.
Apostle Safo Kantanka was a global celebrated man of God, innovator, philanthropist, and industrialist.
“With profound sorrow and deepest grief, the Safo family and the Kristo Asafo Church announce the peaceful passing of Ghana’s beloved man of God, the greatest technological icon, philanthropist, agriculturalist and industrialist,” the statement read.
Apostle Safo, a pioneer in industrial and technological innovation in Ghana, was famous for his philanthropy and role in championing indigenous innovation in Ghana, through his Kantanka brand.
The family described him as a “true genius, a beacon of hope for many, and a father to the fatherless.”
The statement added that funeral arrangements would be announced in due course and appealed to the public to respect the privacy of the family during this period of mourning.
Apostle Safo leaves behind a legacy of faith, resilience, and a lifelong commitment to technology, agriculture, and community development.
