At Faaman, a community on the Techiman – Sunyani highway of the Bono East region, a Ford Transit vehicle with registration number BA-641-23 caught fire, prompting the intervention of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
The early Sunday, September 14, 2025, incident was attended by six crew members from the Service after receiving a distress call at exactly 12:03 hours, according to a statement issued by the GNFS on its Facebook page.
The team, led by Fireman Joseph Awuni, reportedly arrived at the scene within minutes and was able to bring the fire under control, successfully extinguishing the blaze before it could spread or cause further danger.
While the vehicle sustained significant damage, no injuries or fatalities were reported.
The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time, with investigations currently underway to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.
