Former Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold winger Francis Coffie has made a heartfelt appeal for financial assistance as he struggles with difficult living conditions.

His plight was brought to light by ex-footballer Joseph Tagoe, popularly known as Bobby Short, who shared a video on Facebook showing Coffie’s cramped room. The space, dominated by a single bed and scattered belongings, has no fan, poor lighting, and becomes unbearable during rainy days.

“This is where he lives, and it’s not good. The room is small, and the arrangement of his bed and clothes is not ideal,” Bobby Short narrated during the video tour, urging the public to come to Coffie’s aid. “I plead with everyone to support him and help renovate his room.”

Coffie enjoyed a vibrant career in the Ghana Premier League, turning out for Kotoko and Ashanti Gold, before moving to Sudanese giants Al-Merreikh, where he helped the club clinch the 2015 Sudanese Premier League title.
