Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo expressed his strong belief that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will regain power in the 2028 general elections.
He emphasized that the party will capitalize on its legacy under his leadership and that of former President John Agyekum Kufuor to win power.
Speaking at the commissioning of a newly c onstructed NPP Constituency office in Bantama by Asenso-Boakye on Friday September 19, he cited the accomplishments of the NPP during his administration and that of the former President John Agyekum Kufuor as the foundation for a comeback in 2028.
“The work the NPP did during my time and during former President Kufuor’s time is enormous, and we should not forget, it is those those works that we will focus on to win back power in 2028,” the former president said.
According to him, the current state of affairs in the country under the leadership of President Mahama is worrying, urging NPP members to be united and focused on the task ahead.
“We have all seen what is happening — you’ve all seen it. Things are not going well. But when elect our candidate and we unite and do things right, I know that, with God’s help, we will reclaim power in 2028,” he added.
