The Accra Regional Police Command has arraigned nine suspects before the Adabraka District Court in connection with a violent attack on one Mutala Yayaa at Darkuman on September 10, 2025.
The incident, which was captured in a video circulating on social media, shows the complainant being assaulted by a group of men.
The suspects, identified as Bernard Tagoe alias Asa Sese, Nii Eric Martey, Michael Lokko, Felix Adu Mensah, Habib Gusamu, Solomon Assan, Kwame Khalid, Jacob Addy, and Gideon Arthur, together with four others currently at large, allegedly attacked the complainant with a cutlass, axe, and scissors, inflicting deep wounds on his head and body.
All accused persons pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit a crime and causing harm and were remanded into Police custody to reappear on September 29, 2025.
Police statement say efforts are underway to trace and arrest other persons mentioned in connection with the incident, including Yaala, Show, Joseph Gattor, Savess, and John Km, to assist investigations.
The police cautioned the public against resorting to violence in settling disputes and urges community members to use lawful channels to resolve grievances.
