The President of the world-governing body for football, FIFA, has congratulated Ghana’s Black Stars for qualifying for another World Cup.

The Black Stars beat Comoros 1-0 to punch their ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be staged in Canada, Mexico and the United States of America (USA).

Ghna finished top of Group I with 25 points to make a fifth appearance at the mundial.

Minutes after the feat, Gianni Infantino sent a short video to congratulate the 2010 quarter-finalists.

“Congratulations to the Black Stars on reaching the FIFA World Cup for fifth time in history,” he opened.

“Your fans will bring colour, style and passion to the greatest FIFA World Cup ever in 2026 in Canada, Mexico and the United States.”

Ghana will be making an appearance at the mundial after making their debut in 2006.

The team made it to the Round of 16 at Germany 2006, losing 3-0 to Brazil.

The next edition saw them make the quarter finals with a 90th-minute penalty away from becoming the first African nation to make the semis.

That 2010 edition was going to be the best for team.

For Gianni Infantino, the world cannot wait for the similar stars who made history in South Africa.

“We expect that your team will establish more global stars to follow in the footsteps of the famous team that made the quarter finals of the tournament in South Africa in 2010.”

According to the FIFA President, Ghana will know their opponents on Friday, December 5 when the draw for the World Cup is held.
