Multiple award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has revealed how he keeps his mental health healthy unaffected by social media comments and posts.

He asserts that he deliberately restricts his online exposure to distractions and only interacts with stuff that is relevant to him.

The “Non Living Thing” hitmaker clarified in a post on X October 15, 2025, that avoiding distraction is essential to preserving concentration, productivity, and mental health in the digital age.

“It’s crazy how I pick and choose where to channel my energy. I can go 10 years scrolling past ‘unnecessary’ stories, videos, etc., on social media without ever clicking to watch or read them. I only come online for what I’m truly interested in … try it, it’s beautiful,” he wrote.

He encouraged his followers to adopt the same approach rather than get caught in every trending argument or sensational post.

Instead of getting caught up in every hot debate or dramatic message, he urged his followers to take the same approach.

Sarkodie made the statement days after his Rapperholic: Homecoming concert in Kumasi.

Negative remarks regarding the event continued to circulate on social media in spite of the overwhelmingly positive reviews, causing fans and opposing sides to engage in back and forth.
