A first-half brace by Eric Antwi Konadu gave Karela United FC a 2-0 win over Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
The Matchday 13 game, played at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, came on the back of that outstanding Matchday 12 draw by Karela United at Kpando Heart of Lions.
Hearts of Oak, despite their struggles lately, picked all three points in their last game, off Vision FC at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, Legon.
But the home side ensured that they stopped the Phobians early in the game.
And that strategy worked for Nurudeen Amadu’s side, first in the 18th minute when Antwi Konadu connected to Fataw Mohammed’s cross.
He made it 2-0 just before the break after Solomon Agbasi could not grab an aerial ball.
The win sees Karela United move to 7th on the log ahead of their next game at Wenchi against Young Apostles.
Mas-Ud Didi Dramani’s side will also return to Accra to prepare for a date against in-form Nations FC.
