Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has announced the formation of an Interim Management Committee (IMC) to oversee the affairs of the club following the resignation of its Managing Director.
The decision was communicated in an official statement issued by the club’s Board of Directors on September 11, 2026, as the Phobians begin the process of putting a new management structure in place.
According to the statement, the five-member committee will temporarily steer the administration and operations of the club pending the appointment of a new management team.
The Interim Management Committee is made up of Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe as Chairman and Samuel Wilfred Yaw Inkoom (Finance), Akwasi Agyemang (Operations), Vincent Sowah Odotei (Administration) and NCC Chairman Alhaji Yusif Abdullai (Mobilization) as members.
The formation of the IMC comes after the resignation of the club’s Managing Director, Julius Ben Emunah, bringing a temporary change in the leadership structure of one of Ghana’s most historic football clubs.
The Board says the committee has been established to ensure continuity in the running of the club while the search for a new management team takes place.
Hearts of Oak further assured its supporters and stakeholders that the Board remains committed to taking the necessary steps to strengthen the club and continue its pursuit of pre-eminence both domestically and on the continental stage.
The Board has consequently appealed to all stakeholders, including supporters, to give the Interim Management Committee the necessary backing to enable it to succeed in its mandate.
The latest development is expected to generate significant interest among Hearts of Oak supporters, particularly as the club seeks stability and a clear direction in its management structure.
