Vision FC moved up to 9th in the Ghana Premier League after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Hearts of Oak on Saturday.
Benjamin Kwarteng broke the deadlock in injury time to give his side all three points at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Park in Tema.
It was a cagey Matchday 29 encounter as the hosts sought to lift hopes of beating relegation while the visitors wanted a win to return to league of title challengers.
However, after 90 minutes of play, when spectators thought the game was ending goalless, Kwarteng pulled the surprise to give his side the match winner.
With the three points, Nana Agyemang’s side move to the 9th position with 38 points, just two points behind Basake Holy Stars.
Hearts of Oak, however, remain 3rd on the log with 46 points. Their next game will be at home to Karela United in a fortnight.
Vision FC, on the other hand, will seek to maintain the momentum on Matchday 30 when they travel to Wenchi to face Young Apostles, who are also racing against time to survive the season.
