Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko were winners on Matchday 14 of the 2025/26 season over the weekend, securing 1-0 home wins to go level on 24 points.
The Phobians played host to in-form Nations FC on Saturday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
After a goalless first half, Head Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani rang the changes, bringing on Mawuli Wayo and George Paaku after 10 minutes of play.
Paaku later delivered a cross into the penalty area of Nations FC, finding Hamza Issah, who headed home from close range.
The win temporarily took Hearts to 3rd on 24 points.
That position was taken over on Sunday by archrivals Asante Kotoko, who also had to wait till the 80th minute to score against Dreams FCC.
Substitute Kwame Opoku won the match for the Porcupine Warriors at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The win takes Asante Kotoko just 3 points behind league leaders Aduana FC and 2 behind second-placed Medeama SC, whose fixture against champions Bibiani Goldstars had to be postponed.
