Despite facing logistical hurdles, the West Mamprusi Municipal Ambulance Service has reassured residents of its dedication to providing effective emergency response.
This commitment was emphasized during the handing over ceremony of 150 Youth Employment Agency (YEA) personnel, where officials underscored their manpower readiness while acknowledging the critical need for infrastructural improvements.
“The West Mamprusi Municipal Ambulance Service is dedicated to providing timely and efficient emergency response to all citizens,” stated a service official “Our personnel are well-trained and prepared to deliver critical care.”
Municipal Ambulance Commander Moses Ayamba voiced concerns about the aging ambulance, stating, “The ambulance is currently weak and always breaks down. We hope that it will be replaced at least, if we have more than one, it will help us.”
He added, “our preparedness level is high despite facing logistics challenges, however, citizens must be careful in their riding. Let all of us work to reduce accidents.”
The commander specifically appealed to the Municipal Chief Executive for urgent assistance in addressing these logistical gaps.
Echoing these sentiments, several newly inducted YEA personnel expressed their readiness to serve the community. “We are prepared to contribute our skills and dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of the people of West Mamprusi,” one YEA personnel stated.
The West Mamprusi Municipal Youth Employment Director called upon the newly inducted YEA personnel to exhibit unwavering commitment to their duties. “The government recognizes the invaluable contribution you are making to our community,” the Director stated.
“Be assured that we are not going to use you for two years and dump you, efforts are underway to integrate you into the mainstream ambulance service, ensuring job security and career advancement.”
The West Mamprusi Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mohammed Rabiu Jabba urged the YEA personnel to remain committed to their duties.
In response to the ambulance commander’s concerns, the MCE assured that the assembly is committed to ensuring the ambulance service operates without challenges. “The assembly will always be committed to ensuring that they work without challenges,” the MCE stated.
“The West Mamprusi Ambulance Service urges all citizens, particularly drivers and riders, to exercise caution, especially during the festive season, to minimize accidents and reduce the strain on emergency resources.”
