The Western Gospel Awards has honoured renowned broadcast journalist and media personality, Ato Kwamina D’Gem, at its 5th edition held in Takoradi on December 20, in recognition of his remarkable contribution to the promotion of gospel ministry in the Western Region.

Born Charles Tony Otoo, the Connect FM presenter affectionately known as D’Gem to audience received an Appreciation Award for his consistent support and amplification of gospel content through radio, community engagement, and advocacy for faith-based values.

His work has significantly contributed to creating platforms that uplift gospel musicians and promote positive social values across the region.
