Evans Eshun, a self-styled doomsday prophet popularly known as ‘Ebo Noah’, has been granted a GH¢100,000 bail by the Adentan Circuit Court on Thursday, January 15, 2026.

The bail comes with two sureties, one of whom must provide verifiable security of a landed property or vehicle.

Legal team of the accused welcomed the court’s decision, describing it as a fair exercise of judicial discretion.

His lawyer, Emmanuel Sarfo, said, “thankfully, the court has exercised its discretion because discretion must always be fair, reasonable and just. So, it exercised it well pursuant to our laws and admitted our accused to bail with any property, with a landed property or a vehicle, in the amount of GHS100,000, and that is all.”

The bail conditions require Ebo Noah to provide two sureties to guarantee his appearance in court, with one surety backed by tangible property.

According to the court, the bail requirements are mandatory, failure of which could lead to revocation of the bail.

The suspect, born Evans Eshun, was taken into custody by the Ghana Police Service’s Special Cyber Vetting Team on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

His case has drawn significant public attention after he publicly declared that God had warned him of a world-ending flood scheduled for December 25, 2025.

The self-proclaimed prophet had constructed what he described as an “ark” at his premises, which he claimed would save humanity from the impending disaster.

When the predicted cataclysm failed to materialise, Noah reportedly revised his prophecy, suggesting his prayers had successfully postponed the destruction.

The case has been adjourned to March 18, 2026, for further hearing.
