The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has said the time is due for Nana Kwaku Dankwa Opamago Kodie II, Juansahene, to dedicate his service to Asanteman.
At the Asanteman Council meeting on Monday, January 19, 2026, Asantehene acknowledged his service to Ghana in various capabilities, including his most recent appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gas , while chronicling his childhood and growth through the ages.
Advising him prior to permitting his Oath of allegiance before the Asanteman Council at its first meeting of the year at the Manhyia Palace, Asantehene, observed that chieftaincy Transcended his engineering profession and mastery.
“Where you’ve come Transcends engineering….You have served Ghana and it’s now time to serve Asanteman”, he said.
Otumfuo charged him to direct his expertise and strength towards developing Asanteman.
“You are here to contribute to Asanteman’s wellbeing”.
He acknowledged the developmental projects he spearheaded in Juansa way before he developed interest in the Juansa stool.
Otumfuo noted, his good will had merited his selection by the stool.
He expressed confidence in him and committed him into the hands of the kingmakers to teach him all traditions and customs he needed to know.
The new Juansahene, known in private life as Dr Ben Asante, was the former Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gas.
He pledged to help develop the area and attract more investors.
He called for support from his people to help develop the Juansa Traditional Council.
He was grateful to Asantehene and elders and people of Juansa on confidence they have in him.
“I want to promise my people and Asantehene that I will never disappoint them,” he assured.
