Akoma FM partners Asokwa NCCE

The Metro Director of the Asokwa Metro Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Tweneboah Koduah and his team have paid a courtesy visit to Akoma FM.

The visit on January 21, was to discuss ways of strengthening collaboration to educate the public on both Civic and national issues.

During the visit, Mr Koduah highlighted the longstanding relationship between the two institutions and expressed gratitude to Akooma FM for its consistent support in amplifying the Commission’s work over the years.

According to the NCCE, the media plays a critical role in educating the public on the rights and responsibilities, especially on issues relating to governance, and national development. The courtesy visit was intended to acknowledge Akoma FM’s contribution to the public education and to seek the station’s support in amplifying NCCE programmes and messages.

Mr. Tweneboah Koduah mentioned the NCCE’s theme for the year, which is “Upholding our Constitution in a Digital Age- Our Collective Responsibility”. He believes collaboration and living peacefully with others will help sustain the country.

He took the opportunity to brief the Management of Akoma FM on the core functions of the NCCE.

He said that the Commission is tasked with promoting awareness of constitutional democracy, educating citizens about their rights and responsibilities, and encouraging civic engagement.

In his remarks, the Station Manager for Akoma FM, Ransford Nana Osei Asare stressed that both organisations share a common goal of educating citizens about civic rights and responsibilities.

He expressed readiness to partner with NCCE in Kumasi and beyond.

He pledged his support as the team leader to continue this move.

He reaffirmed the station’s commitment to support the NCCE in promoting Civic Education and citizen participation.
