Minister for Trade, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, has announced that the Transaction advisors are being recruited to assess defunct state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
Regarding the Komenda Sugar Factory, she said that the interim management has begun the technical evaluation.
Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare said this during the Government Accountability Series on Wednesday, January 21.
She also stated that the Ghana EXIM Bank disbursed GHS 304 million in 2025, with GHS 107 million recovered, while pursuing recovery of legacy loans.

“Plans are underway to raise up to USD 200 million from capital markets to complete stalled projects and protect investments,” she said.
She further highlighted the efforts made to boost exports.
“The Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) supported out-growers with over 211,000 coconut seedlings, 2 million pineapple suckers, and planting inputs to expand export production.
“91 SMEs and 7 horticultural associations secured USD 350 million in export orders at major international fairs. 150 SMEs in handicrafts and manufacturing generated over USD 250 million through global buyer-seller platforms.
“Ghana achieved a first by exporting mangoes by road to Morocco, and showcased digital services exports at GITEX Dubai,” she said.
