Asante Kotoko’s talisman Albert Amoah has expressed confidence ahead of Sunday’s highly anticipated Ghana Premier League Super Clash against Hearts of Oak.
Speaking on Akoma FM 87.9MHz, Amoah revealed that the team has been preparing rigorously for the fixture, focusing particularly on improving their attacking output.
“We are preparing very well,” he said.
“I think we are working more on our goal scoring, and we also need to get more goals in that match.
“So, I think we are ready for Sunday.”
The Kotoko star also emphasized the importance of the match for the team and their loyal supporters.
“Well, I think we need that point very seriously. It’s important for us to win back our supporters’ hearts, especially since we haven’t been consistent in our matches. This is a match our supporters truly need, so I believe securing the points is absolutely crucial,” he added.
This year’s Super Clash takes on even greater significance as both teams are fighting for valuable points in the league standings.
The Porcupine Warriors are currently 5th with 35 points while the Phobians are just above them with 36 points.
Kotoko, who have experienced some inconsistent results in recent weeks, are looking to regain momentum, while Hearts of Oak aim to consolidate their position near the top of the table.
Asante Kotoko will be relying heavily on Amoah’s experience and leadership to guide the team through the crucial encounter.
