President John Dramani Mahama has prayed to Allah to touch the hearts of US President Donald Trump and the leaders of the Middle East to bring an end to the war.
He highlighted the impact of the war on global economies and Ghana’s.
This was part of his message to Ghanaians on the Eid ul Fitr occasion on Friday, March 20.
“May Allah touch the Trump and Middle East leaders to ensure this war comes to an end,” he said.
President Mahama further said that the government is ensuring that development reaches every corner of the country.
“We keep making sure development reaches every part of the country. The government can’t do it alone; we need a partnership,” he said.
He also said Ghana continues to be a shining example of peaceful coexistence.
He called for the peace of this nation to be safeguarded.
“Ghana continues to be a shining example of peaceful coexistence, as we participate in each other’s ceremonies, we coexist as one people.
“This harmony is a precious gift, and we must protect it. Let us reject anything that divides us.”
