The Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has assured fans that the Black Stars are heading to the 2026 World Cup to change their story.

He stressed that the Black Stars fear no foe but will show their mettle when they meet their Group L opponents.

”We will go into this tournament with our chest up ready to fight for the symbol and ready to change our story,” Kurt Okraku said on Friday, March 20 at a fundraising event in Accra.

”We will not go into this tournament as underdogs,” he asserted firmly.

“We fear no foe and believe me when this team lines up against Panama, against England and against Croatia, Ghana football will speak.”

Ghana will begin their campaign against Panama on Wednesday, June 17 before taking on the European powerhouses – England and Croatia – later in the same month.

Since the quarter-final run in 2010, the four-time African champions have failed to progress out of the group stage at the tournament.

They missed out to Portugal and eventual champions Germany in 2014 in Brazil and to the Selecao and South Korea at the last edition in Qatar.
