For the second time in four months, Dagombaline in Kumasi has caught fire.
The latest inferno was reported on the dawn of Easter Monday, April 6, 2026.
Dozens of structures on the Subin basin were this time razed. The cause is not immediately known.
According to a victim “the fire started around 4am from this structure (pointing to a burnt structure directly opposite his wooden home), and spread. All my belongings are gone. Even my shorts which was given to me by a friend,” Fuseini Ahmed told William Evans-Nkum.
Hundreds of affected occupants seen busily salvaging few recoverables from the debris.
In January this year, scores of structures were gutted. Victims of that tragedy have already reconstructed their wooden structures.
