The 2025 Annual Report of the Office of the President indicates that the total number of presidential staffers were 39.
The number of political appointees also amounted to 190.
The report, sighted by 3news, was prepared pursuant to Section 11 of the Presidential Office Act, 1993, (Act 463).
“The Office of the President has prepared the Annual Report on its staffing position for the period 1st January — 31st December, 2025. The Report covers the following areas: (i) The number of Presidential Staff employed at the Office of the President during the period; (ii) The ranks and grades of these staff; and (iii) Employees of other Public Services assigned to the Office of the President,” a portion of the 51-page report reads.
“The Breakdown of all Political Appointees and Public Sector employees at the Office of the President are- Four (4) Ministers of State were at post as at 31st December, 2025. There were Thirty-Nine (39) Presidential Staffers at the Office. The report also shows the list of Other Political Appointees at the Office of the President totalling One Hundred and Ninety (190),” the report further indicates.
It explained that, “Employees of Public Sector Organizations assigned to the Office included: Civil Servants of various Classes (i.e. Administrative, Executive, Records, Secretarial, Budget, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Presidential Household), as well as staff of the Department of Parks and Gardens, Ghana Health Service, Controller and Accountant-General’s Department, Ghana Audit Service, Public Works Department (Prestige), and Ghana Postal Company. The total number of these categories of staff was Five Hundred and Seventy-five (575).”
