As part of the programme, the Foundation presented assorted food items, bottled water, soft drinks, candies, and other refreshments to the children.

The event was covered by the media for news and public awareness purposes. In addition, Rayan Medical Centre provided free health screening services for participants during and after the presentation.

Addressing the gathering, the Head of Onua Foundation, Alhaji Issa Monnie, underscored the importance of extending care and support to the less privileged in society. He emphasized that compassion and collective responsibility remain essential pillars for building stronger and more inclusive communities.

Alhaji Monnie expressed his appreciation to the Office of the National Chief Imam for its continued partnership and support in the organization of the programme, noting that the collaboration has successfully sustained the Sallahfeast initiative for the past three years.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Office of the National Chief Imam, Alhaji Jabir Kango, the Programme Cordinator conveyed the gratitude of the Chief Imam’s office to Media General and the Onua Foundation for the generous gesture.

He further appealed to corporate institutions, private organizations, and individuals to respond positively to efforts aimed at supporting vulnerable members of society.
