The legal team for Former Communications Director for the Bawumia Campaign, Dennis Miracles Aboagye says efforts are underway to meet the bail conditions imposed on him, expressing optimism that he will be released once the requirements have been fulfilled.

The team disclosed to 3News that the process of satisfying the bail terms has already begun and remains its immediate priority.

The processes toward satisfying the bail conditions have commenced. The legal team is actively working to secure his release as soon as possible,” sources said.

According to the legal team, its current focus is on complying with the court’s bail requirements rather than seeking a review or variation of the conditions.

“At this stage, the focus is on meeting the bail conditions rather than pursuing any variation of them. Once the requirements have been fulfilled, we expect the release process to follow,” it added.

The update comes after Mr. Aboagye was granted bail on Monday, July 13 to the tune of GHC50 million with three sureties to be justified.

No timeline has been provided for when the bail conditions will be fully met, but the legal team says it is committed to completing the process as quickly as possible.

Dennis Miracles Aboagye was arrested by EOCO at the Accra International Airport.

According to EOCO, the arrest is linked to alleged financial and procurement-related irregularities involving about GH¢55 million during his tenure as Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation (IMCCoD).

He was arrested alongside the Secretariat’s former accountant, Gerald Appiah, as part of ongoing investigations into the alleged irregularities.
