The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that teachers who successfully passed the recent promotion examination will begin receiving their promotion letters from August 15, 2026.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, July 28, GES said it is currently finalising the preparation of the promotion letters to ensure they are dispatched to the various Regional Education Directorates for onward distribution.
According to the Service, the promotion letters will be sent to the regional offices from August 15, after which they will be distributed to eligible teachers across the country.
GES further stated that all qualified teachers will be placed on their appropriate salary scales by August 31, 2026.
The update is expected to bring relief to thousands of teachers who have been awaiting confirmation of their promotions after successfully passing the promotion examinations.
Management of the Ghana Education Service expressed appreciation to teachers and staff for their patience, cooperation and understanding throughout the process.
