Daakyehemaa Adwoa Asantewaa says her recognition as Best News Anchor of the Year at the 2026 Ghana Arts and Entertainment Awards has given her more motivation to serve viewers with her best.
The Onua TV news anchor received the honour at the 2026 Ghana Arts and Entertainment Awards, recognising her contribution to television news and broadcasting.
Speaking to entertainment journalist Joseph Owusu Worae, Adwoa Asantewaa described the award as a major motivation in her career.
She said the recognition will encourage her to continue working hard and delivering quality content to viewers.
According to her, the support and appreciation from viewers remain an important part of her journey as a broadcaster.
Adwoa Asantewaa also expressed gratitude to those who have supported her work and contributed to her growth in the media space.
She noted that the award comes with an even greater responsibility to maintain high standards in her work.
The award adds to the growing recognition of her work as a news anchor on Onua TV, which is part of the Media General group.
