The measures will take effect on Saturday, October 3, 2026, and are intended to ensure public safety, manage vehicular movement and facilitate the smooth conduct of the event.
In a statement issued by the Police Command on Thursday, October 1, three routes leading to the stadium will be closed to vehicular traffic.
The affected routes are Bridginia Traffic Lights to Carvery Methodist Church; Unity Oil Fuel Station to T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School; and Is My Kitchen Restaurant to Bridginia Traffic Lights.
The statement said alternative traffic arrangements would be implemented to minimise congestion.

Commercial vehicles from LLL towards T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School will proceed straight to Amakom Traffic Lights.
Vehicles travelling from Kumasi City Mall towards Afful Nkwanta Junction will be diverted through Bulldog Restaurant, while traffic from Afful Nkwanta will proceed straight towards Kumasi City Mall.
Parking arrangements
The Command said special parking arrangements had been agreed upon in consultation with the NPP Elections Committee.
Only vehicles belonging to former Presidents and the NPP Presidential Candidate will be allowed to park at the VVIP Car Park.
Members of Parliament, former MPs, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) will use the Scoreboard Parking Area.
Regional delegates arriving by bus and National Party Executives will park at the Heroes Park, while official police vehicles will be stationed at the Hockey Pitch.
The Police stressed that all delegates and vehicles attending the conference must be duly accredited.
It said only accredited delegates and vehicles would be granted access to designated areas and parking facilities.
Motorists have also been directed to prominently display their accreditation and comply with instructions from police officers deployed to the event.
The Ashanti Regional Police Command warned motorists against parking at unauthorised locations or attempting to drive through designated roadblocks.
Personnel from the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) will be stationed at strategic points to direct motorists and enforce the traffic management arrangements.
Towing trucks will also be deployed to remove wrongly parked or abandoned vehicles to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Yard at the owners’ cost.
The Police Command urged motorists, delegates, party supporters and members of the public to plan their journeys in advance, use designated alternative routes and avoid unauthorised parking around the stadium.
Head of the Ashanti Regional Police Public Affairs Unit, Superintendent Godwin Ahianyo, stated that the Command would not permit unauthorised access, parking or obstruction of designated routes.
He appealed for the cooperation of the public to ensure safe and orderly traffic movement and the peaceful conduct of the NPP conference.
The Command also expressed regret for any inconvenience the temporary traffic arrangements may cause.
