Although she can’t say she encouraged herself with the ordeal she went through in her childhood days, Dr Hanna Louisa Bisiw-Kotei, has revealed that the experiences of her infancy helped shape her life to where she is today.

The National Women’s Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress says staying by her aunt at the time, she was deprived of the parental love she needed at that stage of her life.

According to her, she had to go barefooted at a time she was selling at the Techimantia market, having to go to bed hungry whenever she provoked her aunt.

Speaking with Yaa Titi Okrah on Onua FM’s ‘Women In Politics’ programme, a special Friday segment on the Pae Mu Ka afternoon political show, where women in the political space tell their stories from how they made it through the male-dominated industry, the Doctor of Veterinary explained that she is a product of grace, considering her background and the things she went through.
