The lifeless body of a female has been uncovered at Atwima Boko, a community in the Atwima Kwanwoma district of the Ashanti region.
The lady has been identified by some residents of the area as Rita Asamoah, a 33-year-old and a nurse.
This is the third murder case recorded in the district within a spate of two months. Sadly, all women, with the latest incident believed to have occurred on the night of Monday, October 9, 2023.
“She probably was returning from work when her assailants accosted and took her life,” a resident told OnuaOnline.
“Her body did not show any sign of struggle but, her mouth had foamed,” another resident revealed.
The body has since been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital’s morgue.
Although, Police is yet to make any arrest, the Ashanti region police commander, COP Afful Boakye Yiadom, has engaged the family of the deceased and assured them of bringing the perpetrators to book.
