Wednesday, April 16, 2025, marked exactly 100 days since President John Dramani Mahama was sworn into office after a landslide victory in 2024 general elections.
President Mahama, who was optimistic of winning the elections signed a contract dubbed, “Mahama’s First 120 Days Social Contract with the Ghanaian voters”, which entailed a list of things he intended to achieve within the first 120 days of his administration.
He equally made a number of promises to the people of Ghana, which were itemized in NDC’s ” Resetting Ghana for Jobs, Accountability and Prosperity ” 2024 manifesto.
Mr. Awere, speaking in an interview with Onua TV has reiterated that the resetting Ghana agenda by the NDC is on course and prayed for massive support for the government to salvage Ghana’s economic downturn.
“If you look at the social contract President Mahama signed with the people of Ghana and the things he has done so far within these 100 days, I will score him 95 percent in terms of achievement”.
President Mahama has reduced the number of ministers to 60, he has removed Betting tax, E- levy and Emission tax as promised, so I will say that his achievements within these few days is unmatched and he is the best President Ghana has ever had in the fourth republic,” he maintained.
