Captain Smart has alleged Dome Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo still takes salary as minister of state despite resigning from office.
The MP, who was also a Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection resigned after going on a long holiday which generated a talks in town.
After several castigations and calls by a section of Ghanaians to either resign or be sacked by the president, the minister laid down her tools amidst calls from certain quarters of her constituency to step down.
But speaking on Onua TV/FM’s morning show Wednesday, October 5, 2022, host Captain Smart said the former minister rather than being paid as a legislator still receives the salary of a minister.
He dared the Controller and Accountant General to publish her pay slip to prove him wrong.
Captain Smart was speaking about the rate of corruption in the Akufo-Addo government which he says the president has done less on.
According to Smart, President Akufo-Addo cannot punish anyone indulging in corruption in his government because he is a direct beneficiary in every corrupt act going on in his administration.
“Adwoa Safo still takes ministerial salary. If the Controller and Accountant General doubts me, they should publish her pay slip.
“Nana Addo cannot sack anybody because he is a direct beneficiary of every corrupt act that goes on. The IMF has warned that if they don’t end galamsey, he won’t get any money. That is why all this fuss about the galamsey is ongoing,” he noted.

Meanwhile, he said the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Bosiako, a.k.a. Wontumi claims he has the president in his pocket, the reason he can’t touch him despite the numerous forests he is destroying in the name of galamsey.
