Daniel Owusu Koranteng, a former associate of late investigative journalist at Tiger Eye PI, Ahmed Hussein Suale, has been charged with murder in connection with Suale’s death.
Koranteng has been accused of causing Suale’s death through unlawful harm.
Details of the case has it that Koranteng was allegedly near Suale’s residence at Madina, a suburb of Accra, before and at the time of the shooting.
It is reported that Koranteng left Madina to Amasaman, where he resides around 11pm that same night.
Meanwhile, he evaded police invitations according to authorities and fled to the United Kingdom in 2019.
But, following police surveillance, he was arrested upon his return to Ghana on Friday, March 15, 2025.
Per investigations, Suale had identified Koranteng as the person behind the release of his pictures to the former lawmaker, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, who displayed it on TV before his killing.
But Koranteng has denied the claim.
He was put before the Madina District Court on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, and subsequently remanded into custody. The case has been adjourned to April 1.
