Madam Akua Donkor, the founder and head of the Ghana Freedom Party, has disclosed that Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen had approached him about joining his Alliance for Revolutionary Change (ARC).
She revealed during an interview on M’abatoɔ on Akoma FM Tuesday, April 16, 2024, that she was approached by the Movement for Change leader and founder, Alan Kyerematen to form a coalition with him and other political parties.
A strategic partnership was announced by Alan John Kyerematen with Dr. Michael Abu Sakara Foster, the National Interest Movement’s (NIM) founder, on Thursday, April 4, 2024.
Under the name Alliance for Revolutionary Action, the alliance will be formally established on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
Akua Donkor claims she turned down their invitation to join them because she is more powerful than the alliance’s leaders.
“I promptly rejected and disregarded Alan Kyerematen’s request for me to join his alliance since I am more powerful in Ghanaian politics than he is. If someone is unable to organize a political party, how can I join them? I am greater than that,” she told Sir John on M’abatoɔ.
In the next election, Alan Kyerematen hopes to challenge the NPP and NDC by assembling a formidable coalition.
After her first attempt at running for President was unsuccessful, Akua Donkor will be hoping to run again.
