The havoc being caused by the galamsey menace across the country has gone beyond devastating levels following stories emerging from certain parts of the country.
At Konongo Odumase in the Ashanti Region, a 23-year-old lady fell into a galamsey pit after a toilet facility she was using caved in.
According to a report filed by OnuaOnline’s Ibrahim Abubakar, some residents are engaging in the menace in their homes where a kitchen was identified with a galamsey pit.
Commenting on the development Monday, October 24, 2022, Captain Smart said the illegal miners should thank their stars that he is not the President.
He noted the savageness of what the galamseyers would have suffered would have been worse than the much criticised Nkrumah’s Preventive Detention Act.
