A 48th minute strike by Albert Amoah gave Asante Kotoko a vital 1-0 win over Accra Lions in Week 5 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday, October 6.
The visitors were full of confidence prior to the encounter, having won their first match in the League in grand style last week.
They beat Nsoatreman FC 3-1.

Asante Kotoko had laboured to a 1-0 victory over the same Nsoatreman side in midweek, an own goal giving the Porcupine Warriors the maximum points in an outstanding match.
Therefore, goal scoring became much of a talk among fans of Asante Kotoko.
After a goalless first half in Sunday’s game at the Len Clay Stadium, there were concerns among the Porcupine Warriors.
However, these concerns were immediately put to rest after Amoah’s strike.
The Accra-based side, who placed second last season, failed to score, ending the match 1-0.
By the win, Kumasi Asante Kotoko lead the log on 11 points, same as Bibiani Gold Stars, who also beat Bechem United by the same score.
Asante Kotoko will play Legon Cities in their next game after the international break while Lions will welcome Berekum Chelsea to the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
