Former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan says his goal against England in a friendly match at Wembley in 2011 is his best for the Black Stars.

He admitted that many would opt for his extra-time strike against USA at the 2010 World Cup for his best but he sees his solo dribble to put the ball beyond then Three Lions goalkeeper Joe Harts as his best ever of his 51 goals.

Speaking on TV3‘s New Day on Thursday , April 17, he said he took responsibility in that friendly game at a time it was heading to a 1-0 loss for his country.

He explained that his back was towards goal but he manoeuvred to turn and waltzed his way through a number of defenders including Joleon Lescott to slot the ball at the bottom right corner of Hart’s goal to end the game 1-1.

It was the first ever game between the two sides.

With over 80,000 attendance at the game on March 29, 2011, fans went home satisfied from an entertaining encounter.

Andy Carroll got his first goal for the Three Lions in that game while Danny Welbeck, who is of Ghanaian descent, marked his debut for the 1966 world champions.
